Baby William is on his way and we can’t wait to meet him. Until then, this super silly duo will have their hands full preparing. Jenn is a dear friend of mine from middle and high-school who I’ve adventured many adventures with over the years. I could not be more honored to capture this amazing time in her and Chris’s lives.

Lets just face it, it would take one very special maternity shot for me to say, “I want to hang that in large format on my wall.” These I will hang on my wall. This is the first actual session I’ve created with zero natural light. The ability to work with strobes has changed everything. I’m able to shoot more fine art in sessions I would have otherwise thought too busy. Maternity is definitely one of those types of sessions (aside from equestrian maternity sessions which are so unique) that I would probably recommend “this would look great in a custom book with the newborn photos.” But pregnancy is such an amazing and dynamic change in a woman’s figure. It should be honored in a most beautiful, (tasteful) and classic way. This allows us to create just that. And as a bonus there are

Instant friends. That’s how I describe my friendship with Montgomery (“gummy” as she’s so dearly called). I feel like I’ve known her for my whole life and sometimes forget that we’ve barely known her for less than a year. She is a crazy awesome girl…one with a passion for horses and art (and photography which is how our story begins), a big heart, a contagious smile and a laugh that would make even a grinch’s heart fill with joy. I can’t say enough about how I’ve loved getting to know her and I can only imagine that this sweet little baby on the way will spread as much cheer. Enjoy a peek in at Gum’s equine maternity session with her most gorgeous quarter horse “Dawn.” Many thanks to Lindsay and Hillary for helping us get these awesome shots!
