2018: A year of priddysweet giving

Monday, January 8th, 2018

I have been brewing this for a little while and trying to figure out how to make it a reality. Over the Christmas holiday it was made clear to me that my mission for 2018 is to give. I am being called to give BOLDLY… While this causes a bit of uncertainty (will I be able to give enough?), i am seeking true freedom:: freedom to follow, freedom to fail, freedom to live abundantly by living as I am called. Therefore, I pledge to give 50% of every profit that comes in through my business in 2018. This is where I will need your help in a few ways:

1) Please hire me! :) The more we work, the more we can give.

2) Please offer your suggestions of where you would love to see the money go.

3) Please pass this along to your friends!

Every 3 months I will prayerfully choose a worthy cause or two in need of extra funds and donate 50% of priddysweet’s profits to that cause. And to make what I do more accessible, I am streamlining the back end of the sessions, offering digitals and reducing the costs of several types of sessions. I will also hopefully be offering more mini sessions (and not just on a single day). I am truly looking forward to this year and hope to see your faces through my lenses. LETS DO THIS THING! Stay tuned for updates on new sessions! And then plan to get your make up on and your hair-DID! xoxo

The best app for Moms of preschoolers and up

Friday, January 18th, 2013

I was on pinterest the other day just doing my usual perusing and came across a pin that I MUST share with everyone if you haven’t done it yet!!

Raise your hand (or thumb) if you have a child of school or preschool age. Ok now raise your hand if you have a bunch of kid art in piles on various surfaces in your house…(go ahead, don’t be shy). Well, I DO!! When I was in Kindergarten, I specifically remember a time when I saw my art folder reducing in size. It absolutely broke my heart when my mom said “we can’t keep every single piece of art you bring home from school.” I could not for the life of me understand why!? But now, as a mother of two toddlers, I see the issue. Fortunately, new technologies give us easy and convenient ways around this.

Drum roll

“ARTKIVE” is an app you can download (its $2.99 and worth every penny!) that solves this problem! Take a picture of the art with your phone as it comes in. Artkive dates the image (you can change this if you are like me and have piles of old art work), allows you to choose which child made it, what grade they are in (includes preschool years in a drop down menu) and then saves the photo to a folder. When you have captured all you can possibly capture you push print and it PRINTS it in a BOOK (at a very reasonable price calculated per page) for you to keep! No more piles of art work and still a way to treasure your children’s artistic beginnings. :)

Seriously. GO. Download it now. You can thank me later. (Whoever developed the app, you’re awesome!!)

Share with your friends!! Tell the world!!

Mini Sessions 2012!!

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

We’re so excited to announce that mini sessions are back in 2012! WOO HOO!!!! And this year, we are including digital items for the first time ever!!!

So what are Mini Sessions?

Mini Sessions are a smaller version of the real thing. They are 30 minute time slots versus the 2-4 hour full session times. They are great times to update photos for Christmas Cards and/or to document the year for scrapbooks/photo journals…even to update your wall art! These mini sessions are also great because they’re a great deal!

Grab your buddies and send an email to: (or CLICK HERE) with the subject “MiniSessions” and we’ll get everyone scheduled! I truly can not wait to see you all and your amazing horses!!!

Questions? Ask me anything!! :)

Find us on facebook too!! See you all VERY SOON!! :)

Breathing beauty

Friday, September 14th, 2012

Since the beginning of June this year, my goal has been an attempt to slow down time. Consciously stopping to appreciate each passing moment, I breathe deep. I don’t want to forget this. I know it isn’t “special” but…isn’t it?

I have this tendency to fast forward 30 years and then look back on these years I’m living now. In my hypothetical 64 year old body and mind, I imagine longing for the days of my youth. I know that I will miss my children whining and crying and (more…)

exciting updates on the way!

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

well, I hope you haven’t taken this practical month of silence to mean lack of productivity! Its actually quite the opposite. A lot of new things are in the works (unfortunately kind of simultaneously which slows everything down some). Exciting and fun stuff– studio set ups, (prayers for commercial space!), new baby plans and new products too. We’ve revised some of the old and made way for the new. I can’t WAIT to show you what is in store!! Until then, all I have is an image. :) As you might guess…This next two weeks, I’m shooting newborns! All of that squishy baby love coming soon! (I mean, unless you’d rather just look at this oh-so-realistic–and somewhat scary– model?) 😉

Have an awesome week, everyone!! and ps- happy LEAP day!

So, you may or may not have noticed…I’ve been M.I.A. for the past couple of months. A much needed “sabbatical” in the mental and spiritual sense was apparently part of the vacation plan (unbeknownst to me). I have been in a place where I am evaluating and experiencing life in a quiet, prayerful place away from the noise and chaos of “busy-ness.” Away from the demands of being the person I have been for too many years. Away from the guilt of not being a “good enough___ (friend, wife, mother, daughter, sister, business owner….the list goes on).” Away from the state of needing to be needed. Away from the burdens of others which I somehow willing pick up to carry myself….not with them, FOR them. Away from the depreciating remarks I say to myself about myself when I compare my life to others’. Away from comparing. Away from the negative. I actually feel like I escaped. (more…)
