meet hillary. a unique personality. grounded and centered. aware. alive. awakened…a gentle spirit. she is all of these things knitted into a beautiful woman who is changing her world simply by being herself. I had the greatest time with her on this shoot. She is just a light to be around {she can also rock out some mean yoga poses}. it was a breath of fresh air just sharing her company. enlightening. reviving. giggle provoking. awe inspiring. i really do wish we could all be more secure in who we are as ourselves. taking time to re-evaluate and (to quote Hillary) “stop comparing (our) insides to other peoples outsides.” The ability to just BE HAPPY is within everyone’s grasp… (more…)

that’s who they are. and boy, do these guys have soul….there was a lot of “creative lighting” in this shoot. my most challenging environment yet. capturing high action in low, low light without grainy images or heavy duty external lighting? yeah, that’s tough. the harsh shadow, though not “ideal portrait light” just reflects the artistry of this group. it was a great experience to open my mind and challenge my creativity. i had such fun watching these guys dance. they are truly talented. amazing.
