Love with Actions Charity Event

Monday, February 18th, 2013

It is my honor and pleasure to support such an great cause as this. I’m here to announce our very first “event” and its taking place at our itty bitty temporary studio space here in East Nashville. On March 9, 2013, we will be doing a day of photoshoots— from 9am to 3pm (or later if we fill it up) with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Thisbe & Noah Scott Foundation. We’re doing 15 minute sessions with a suggested donation of $25. As my thank you to you, we will include (1) complimentary 4×6 (to be chosen via online proofing) and if you want more—each additional $10 you donate to the foundation, Priddysweet will gift you another (1) 4×6 print! I don’t have to tell you that this is a steal you guys, so eat it up and support a great cause!!! Other print sizes will be available at a 20% discount as well.

The Thisbe and Noah Scott Foundation, Inc. (TNSF) was created by Laurian and John Scott after they lost their 2 young children, Thisbe and Noah, to a neuromuscular disease called BVVL. The mission of TNSF is to promote research, awareness and support for families affected by pediatric neuromuscular diseases.

Neuromuscular diseases are a group of diseases that impair the peripheral nervous system (i.e., muscles and nerves), which means the brain can no longer tell the body to move. As a result, all muscles in the body — arms, legs, fingers, eyelids, muscles used for breathing, swallowing and eating — atrophy or die. Examples of neuromuscular diseases include muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

In just a few short years, TNSF has made amazing strides in their fight to eliminate these cruel diseases. Please visit their website at to learn more.

Kati and Lex (part one)

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

The first half of Kati and Lex’s session was a non-snow session–even though, yes, she is supposed to be in the snow. We have a split session! {Why?} Here’s hoping for snow…maybe even this weekend!

While we’re all waiting on snow, ya’ll need to stop by Kati’s blog and see what she’s doing over there. She talks about God, life, and horses, and I even saw some sweets she was baking there too– and we all know how I feel about those!! Not to mention, Kati is an insightful and candid writer!

Thanks, Kati (and Lex) and to the best 2 assistants (Holly and Kristen) ever!!! Get ready for round 2! But for now… view more images here!!

Sneak Peek: Kati and Lex (part one)

Monday, February 7th, 2011

It is possible that you may be a little confused seeing tid-bits of Kati and Lex here and there on the blog and on facebook. It isn’t unreasonable to think, “wait a second… she is the “SNOW model” and there is no snow?” LOL. We decided to split up the model session for them to make best use of the available light and get everything we need to get in accomplished. SO!! You will be seeing more of these two (we hope…start praying for snow to stick!!), but here’s a sneak peak at their first 1/2 session. πŸ˜‰

more of this first half will be on the blog later this week!! :)

Snow Model Call

Monday, January 17th, 2011

priddysweet model call 2011

As we’re all gearing up for the season, my head is swirling with fresh and new ideas! So this is an official call for snow-loving equestrians. That’s right, I’m ready for a model to try out some of these new ideas and THIS is your opportunity!

What it includes:

– if your application is accepted, (we can only choose one) you will have a creative session on the house (a $189 value) and (1) masonite mounted 11×14 sized print of your choice (a $224 value).
-you will be eligible to purchase additional prints if you’d like at a discounted price.
-(this is NOT a regular creative session. These are model images for the artist).

To be eligible you must:

– sign a model release (as usual)
– have a horse
– have a QUIET horse πŸ˜‰
– be ready and willing to get out with said horse in the snow at your farm for as long as it takes to get the shot (hopefully not much longer than 1hour depending on your horse).
– be open to trying new things aligning with the interpretation of the artist (that’s moi). πŸ˜‰
– be open to wardrobe and styling suggestions
– be mobile and flexible with the weather (we will be planning according to it). Once snow is on the radar, we will begin making our plans! :)

To apply:

please send your name, address, phone number and small photo of yourself and your horse AS WELL AS a small photo of your farm (no worries, you don’t need anything fancy– even a camera phone will do) to Subject line: SNOW MODEL. :) Also include a few sentences about you, your horse, and your farm and why you think you’d be a great candidate for the snow model.

Applications are on a first come-first serve basis for approval so don’t delay. :) Once your application is accepted, we will communicate all further details! :)

I have been brewing this for a little while and trying to figure out how to make it a reality. Over the Christmas holiday it was made clear to me that...
