last weekend I had the awesome pleasure of stopping by Penrose to watch the Crossroads Combined Tests and to visit with long, lost friends. {Oh, how I miss you guys dearly!!!}. Penrose is a place that is dear to my heart. It is where I learned everything I know about horses and growing up too. My closest friendships were cultivated on or near those 200 acres settled in the heart of Knoxville. And my greatest lessons were learned there too. I fell in love with riding. I fell in love with horses. I learned to care for them. I learned what it means to be responsible. I learned the importance of caring for something and someone other than myself (a life treasure). And I even learned to drive a tractor (one time taking out 3 panels of the fence once…sorry, Teenie)….. Here are pictures of Heather with Athena and Kristen with Beamer warming up for their show. Enjoy a glimpse into my past. 😉
