Awaiting baby Trista {equestrian maternity}

Wednesday, September 12th, 2012

Confession: These are my favorite sessions– the equestrian maternity sessions. And seriously, the light could not have been more gorgeous that evening in west Knoxville (The light paling only in comparison to the gorgeous mom-to-be and her beau, of course). If I could post every single one of these images, I would. This is not a lie. Just ask Arlene.

One of the sweetest and most gracious couples ever are Will and Arlene. I love being around them. I love their sense of humor and how much they love each other. It just seeps out of their pores. They’re truly in love and its SUCH a blessing just to be in their company. Not forgetting about Chester, and “baby” of course (* “baby” has two meanings with this crew…we have a horse named “Baby” as well as a child in the womb also called “baby” at the time…yep. learned that one the hard way* haha!!), this family is just lots and lots of fun.

Arlene and Will awaiting baby Trista– without further ado! Enjoy these! And leave them some comment-love below too! πŸ˜‰ (more…)

Awaiting baby Hank

When I was in high-school (and before I had my drivers license of course), I really hated riding the bus. And so began my friendship with someone who equally hated buses but who was half a year older than me and could drive us both. :) Meet, Claire (and her awesome husband, Brian, who competes in silliness with our own shenanigans). Since that time long (long) ago in high-school, we have been the best of friends— through thick and thin— each other’s “other half.” It would take pages upon pages for me to describe to you my friendship with this gorgeous mother-to-be. So I ask you to take my word on it and enjoy a peek at the pictures we grabbed one (more…)

PS- pay it forward

January is a time of renewal. We feel fresh and new and revived. We have a “clean slate” so-to-speak. And we resolve to do better… to BE better.

Priddysweet has much on the horizon this year… Surprises will unfold randomly throughout the year (I can’t wait!! truly!!)! Since we are in the time of renewal here in January, it is the perfect time to reveal one of those surprises. Priddysweet wants to recognize those who dedicate themselves to helping others. Whether you donate your time to the soup kitchen, build a habitat house or volunteer for your church, we want to hear about it and share it with others! This is a very special project and it carries a special reward. A panel of priddysweet contributors will judge the winner and if you win, in addition to the prize below, you will be featured on the blog with a detailed report of how you “paid it forward.”

THE AWARD: One priddysweet session for you or a member of your immediate family (a $189 value) PLUS a $200 print credit!!!!!!!!! AND a $50 donation to the charity of your choice!!!!

3) your mailing address and

4) phone number.

5) follow @priddysweets on twitter and “like” priddysweet . portraiture . on facebook to get up to date info on the results! And encourage your friends to do the same!

Travel and accommodation fees for out of state winners may apply. Questions? Ask here! :) EVERYONE is encouraged to apply!!! Its for a wonderful cause… your FAVORITE cause!!

Now GO! Do GOOD!! And help others!! The internal reward is even greater than the prize!!

Good luck!

The best of 2010

Friday, December 31st, 2010

This year has been awesome. Amazing. An experience. And I can’t thank you all enough for your support, encouragement and true admiration of my incredibly hard work. It is such an honor to see my art in your homes! I look around as I sit here at my desk, on the last day of this almost too fast first year and I am teary-eyed. Your faces are on my walls. Your memories are held in MY heart as well as your own. Your lives have so greatly touched mine that I can’t leave them hidden on an external hard drive back in 2010… they’re coming along with me into this new year. πŸ˜‰ As I sit here, there is beauty all around me. Your faces, your families, your relationships, your horses.. all just beautiful. I am so blessed. So very, VERY blessed.

So here they are. Here WE are. While you all know it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to pick favorites (its like choosing between my children), I did narrow them down to a few. πŸ˜‰ Thank you, EACH of you… for a most amazing 2010. As we go forward I’m confident that 2011 will be just as incredible. I can’t WAIT for the next series of experiences to unfold!! Happy NEW YEAR to you all!!! Life IS sweet, and I’m so GLAD we’re savoring it!!

Falling Leaves

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

I’ve known Amy and Brian since college at UT and Young Life Quest. Amy is actually my sorority sister too! Life has taken us in so many directions and led us back to the same city and state once again!! It was so good to see them and meet their adorably precious boys. Its amazing how life crosses our paths and allows us to reconnect with old friends. Facebook plug! πŸ˜‰

Thanks guys for a great afternoon of family fun and playing in the leaves!! Enjoy your images!!

Hike at the lake

Friday, November 12th, 2010

Meet Kim and her husband Bo. We took a hike around Radnor Lake last weekend to see the leaves and the other wonders of fall. (It is my favorite time of the year…remember that only until Spring…when I say THAT is my favorite time of the year). :) The chill didn’t scare us off– even though ou (more…)
