Well, I’ve loved this horse since I first laid eyes on him (at a horse show in May) and now I love him even more that I know him, as well as his “mom” (Christi) and “grandma” (Christi’s mom) too! We had so much fun. And I loved watching these two interact. They are truly a sweet, sweet combination. Enjoy! (more…)
If you can’t tell from the images, these two are very special friends. Shelly has had Gracie for over 10 years. And while the seasons are changing in their lives, their bond will not be broken. I’m so happy that they had an opportunity to share this time together and am HONORED to have witnessed and captured this relationship. Enjoy a peek inside! (more…)
Alisa came to visit friends and see the sights in Tennessee. What she thought would be a week or two turned into 5 or 6 as she fell in love with the break from life up north. Her last few days in town, she (more…)
ok, I have to admit. This made me want to put my wedding dress on again. Isn’t she gorgeous? The buttercups (while otherwise a nuisance to horse owners) were a most gorgeous backdrop for bridal shots. Don’t we all dream of wearing a flowing white dress in a field of flowers with horses? 1) Scout out places on your farm ahead of time. this will stream-line the process and minimize the extra excitement for your horse. Although most horses don’t have a problem touring the farm (the camera and lights don’t add too much in the way of shock for them either after the first 5 minutes), the less time spent on this “disruption of schedule” to your horse, the happier he will be.
2) Bathe, clip and groom horse ahead of time. Your portraits will be on your wall much longer than the time you’d be showing for (more…)
