What a great joy it was to attend the WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES 2010!!! Once again, me and Linny hit the road for a horse park adventure (as you remember she’s the reason I GET to these events *Rolex). We got a sitter for the girls (thanks, Katie!!) and headed out Friday morning to the games. Arriving around 4:30pm (we had a few stops to make along the way…one stop including our first tastes of Gold Star Chili), we ran straight for the cross country course walk with Jimmy Wofford. Enlightened (and appropriately nervous for the riders the next morning), we headed to musical freestyle in the big outdoor arena! I’d never seen an FEI grand prix musical freestyle in “real life” (that’s code for: i’ve only seen it on tv) before so I was TOTALLY stoked (dressage is my thaaang). The only regret I had (and only as an artist) was that i was in the second row from the very top of the nose bleeds and all of my shots were basically the same just with different horses and riders. I was sardined in between Lindsay and a couple from Holland (I think that’s where they were from?) The stadium was crammed full of people since the event was completely sold out. I look forward to the opportunity to one day stand in the “photographers only” areas where i can truly get amazing views and subsequently…amazing shots!! For now, these will do. Enjoy! ** don’t miss the slideshow at the bottom!***
Lindsay: “that horse is coming in way too fast.” Deb: “eh, he’ll be alright. ” Lindsay: “NO. He’s coming too fast. See? I told you. He chipped in and now he’s all messed up for the combination. I know these things, Deb. I’m telling you. I know these things.” LOLOLOL
Check out THIS motley crew…. LOL!!!
My all time favorite ride! Fuego XII was awesome!! and just made it look like SO MUCH FUN instead of a “test” or a chore. His ride would turn a non-believer…instantly! Love it!!
